Part 2 Track Design and Layout options

Now we can move to settling on one version of the track design and how this will work on the overall layout...

Watch out for any complicated point work, this area will involve 2 double slips and 2 long crossings plus other single points all within about 3ft - it will also later be underneath a town scene - so it had better work!

All this can be changed at this stage - it really needs long testing with rolling stock..

One thing to warn you about! - don't show your track plans to anyone too soon! - I showed my first draft to my friends David and Bernie - several times! - they made me re-draft and re-design about 10 times! - they were right of course! Major message - TAKE TIME OVER YOUR TRACK PLANS.

Final track plan was drafted on Traincontroller software, as there are multiple levels on the layout, the diagram can only be schematic (spread out), here it is....

The weird looking circles top left are in fact a representation of the Helix Up and Helix Down tracks. These lead down to a lower level storage and small goods yard.
